• The disaster nursing curriculum is designed to train nurses who can perofrm their duties immediately 
• in the event of a disaster.
• As various disasters have occurred domestically and around the world, the need to cultivate professinal
• disaster nursing personnel has emerged. Therefore, the KAFNA(Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy)
• signed an agreement with the Korean Nursing Association. 
• The first educaiton began in 2008, and currently, education is conducted twice to four times a year for 
• each educaiton topic.
• Disaster nursing education is provided with scenarios of actual situations to enhance understanding
• of disaster situations anad provide education using problem-based learning and ETS.
• In particular, the KAFNA includes various disasters (exposure accidents and terrorism of chemical
• substances, natural disasters) that can occur during a national crisis with various experiences in
• disaster nursing education.
